Glare, color temperature, color rendering, diffuser transmission, and mounting height determine whether the luminaire creates a comfortable atmosphere.
Warm white light is often preferred for dining and leisure spaces, while good color rendering helps food, finishes, and furnishings appear natural. The light source should remain outside the normal line of sight or use a diffuser that controls direct brightness.
Maintenance access also matters. Staff should be able to clean the shade, inspect seals, and replace serviceable components without dismantling the entire suspension system.
